The Corobici River offers a calm floating trip with Class I and II rapids that will satisfy any nature lover and mellow adventurer. This trip is perfect for families with young children or folks who are just looking to relax on the river while taking in the forest and scenery.

The section of river you will travel is very calm – rated class 1-2 with moderate waves. This is not a whitewater rafting tour. Your guide will row the raft during the trip while you relax and enjoy the sights.

It’s an especially fantastic tour for bird watching! Aracaris, parrots, motmots, cuckoos, laughing falcons, kingfishers, sungrebes, egrets, wood storks, ospreys, trogons, Jabiru storks, and seven species of herons have all been seen along the Corobici River. Other wildlife that lives in the area includes howler and white-faced monkeys, otters, coatis, iguanas, and small caimans.

Corobici River is located in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The river originates from the mountain range in Guanacaste and travels south to the end of Gulf of Nicoya. Visitors can travel along the river by rafting while experiencing mesmerising views. A range of wildlife can be spotted which include otters, sloths, monkeys, iguanas and over 300 bird species. The river runs calmly and smoothly, and is suitable to be enjoyed by all ages.

HOTEL HACIENDA GUACHIPELIN HIKE TO LAS PAILAS TRAIL

The Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin Hike to Las Pailas Trail is a 3-hour activity. The trails showcase the power of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, one of Guanacaste’s largest and most active volcano. Rincón de La Vieja

Rincon de la Vieja National Park offers a heady mix of rolling green hills, gushing waterfalls and lush forests. The park attracts travellers year-round who come to explore its hot springs, bubbling muds and picture-perfect waterfalls.

Rincon de la Vieja means “The Old Woman’s Corner” and was named after a local legend, which tells of a girl’s lover who was thrown into the volcano by her father. It’s said the woman became a recluse and developed healing powers, living out her days on the slopes of Rincon de la Vieja.
