OVERVIEW

The tropical forest awaits you at this hidden gem in the Rincon de la Vieja volcano foothills. This full day adventure offers a wonderful mix of adventure, culture, volcanic elements, nature and relaxation!

Go for an adventure zip lining, walking on hanging bridges, through the forest canopy; or you can go for an easy hike in El Saino Natural Reserve. Recharge with freshly brewed coffee and a tasty typical snack during the Cultural presentation, where they will explain a little about traditional sugar cane processing and an artisan from Guaitil presents a brief indigenous ceramic making workshop. Then, you will go horseback riding down to the geothermal experience, with a short detour to a waterfall! Next, relax in the thermal pools, release stress and toxins in the sauna and volcanic mud bath (alternative transport instead of horseback riding available). Typical Costa Rican lunch is included.

Activity Highlights

Adventure Hanging Bridges

Buena Vista Del Rincón & Adventure Extreme Canopy Tour is an adrenaline-fueled adventure offered by Buena Vista Lodge & Adventure. This canopy tour begins with a walk through the primary forest for about 1500 feet before getting to the first platform. Once there, the adventure begins. There are 12 platforms with seven cables. The cables are 300 to 1155 feet long. They are suspended about 120 to 300 feet above the ground. These cables culminate in the Tarzan Swing, with a free-fall at the height of 150 meters. Visitors will then enjoy swinging through the air like the king of the jungle.

La Fonda Traditional Cuisine

Located in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, Vista Del Rincon Eco Adventure Park Hotel & Spa offers La Fonda Traditional Cuisine cooking classes. Visitors can enjoy a live representation of the cultural, gastronomic heritage of Guanacaste that still preserves its roots and customs by cooking with wood in clay stoves and ovens as well as using tools that are present since Precolombian times. Visitors will learn how to make tortillas with the ancestral technique of processing the dry grain of corn with lime and ash, shape the tortillas by hand and cook it in the clay pot directly in the clay stove. In addition, visitors can also taste typical dishes accompanied by freshly brewed coffee or “agua dulce” from the farm’s sugar cane mill.

Horseback Riding to Cataratas Pacaya & Thermal Waters

Not Included
Buena Vista Del Rincon and Adventure Center are located in Canas Dulces, Costa Rica. If hiking is not the favourite way to spend the day, then going on horseback may be just the thing. For a bit of adventure, riders may even want to meander off onto the trails that are not as easily accessible on the hiking footpaths. One of the most popular horseback riding adventures is to the hot springs, which takes riders through a tropical forest to different hot springs. If hot springs are not your cup of tea then maybe the beautiful waterfalls will do the trick with both offered both in the same package. Buena Vista offers horseback riding adventures in Guanacaste for the enjoyment of individuals and family ensuring everyone has a great time.
